Quarterly Report: May 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted justice systems all over the country and Oklahoma County was no different. Just as with other localities nationwide, the players in the OK County justice system rolled up their sleeves to find creative ways to prevent the spread of the virus while also balancing public safety. The total jail population reached as low as 1,443 in April, which has not been seen in at least two decades.

The Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Authority (a.k.a. the Jail Trust Authority) continues to make progress toward the transition to assume operational and financial management of the Oklahoma County Detention Center (a.k.a. the jail). Among the numerous transition projects underway the Trust Authority recently approved a mission statement, a vision statement, values and a logo. See the full report below:
